Volk®1 3-Mirror and 4-Mirror Gonios provide clear views and maximum patient safety
Mentor, Ohio (July 11, 2016) – Volk®1 Single Use 3-Mirror and 4-Mirror Gonio Lenses provide the convenience and patient safety of a one-time use lens, without compromising image quality for visualization, diagnosis and laser treatment.
Volk1 Single Use Gonio lenses provide high resolution imaging of the anterior chamber angle, peripheral retina, and posterior pole, similar to that of traditional glass gonio lenses, in a sterile, molded acrylic lens body. Pre-sterilized in individual Tyvek pouches, Volk1 Single Use lenses eliminate the potential for cross-contamination of infectious disease, as well as the costly reprocessing of reusable lenses.
Both Volk1 Gonio lenses have an image magnification of 1.0x and 1.0x laser spot. The 3-Mirror Gonio Lens is fashioned in the Goldmann style with mirrors accurately angled at 60°, 66°, and 76° to eliminate gaps in the visualized fundus. For visualization of the entire anterior chamber, with only a slight rotation, the 4-Mirror Gonio Lens’ four mirrors are equally angled at 63°.
In addition to the new 3-Mirror and 4-Miorro Gonio lenses, the Volk1 Single Use family includes direct image contact laser treatment lenses for capsulotomy and iridotomy, surgical BIO lenses (20D and 28D), and high resolution direct image surgical vitrectomy lenses. For a limited time, Volk is offering a free sample pack of Volk Gonio lenses for customer trial.
